How to grow Michelia

How to grow Michelia

1. Breeding environment

1. Temperature: During the maintenance period, the temperature can be controlled between 5 and 15 degrees, which is most suitable. It is not resistant to high temperatures, so pay attention to temperature control in summer, and sprinkle water and ventilate more to cool down. However, you should also pay attention in winter and move it indoors in time for the winter.

2. Light: During maintenance, place it in a place with scattered light. Avoid strong light, otherwise the leaves will turn yellow and affect the appearance. But it is not good to put it in a cool place, as long-term lack of light will affect flowering.

3. Watering: Water frequently during the growing and flowering periods. It is best to water once a day to keep it moist, but not waterlogged. When the temperature is low in winter, control the water once a week.

4. Fertilization: It likes fertilizer, so fertilize frequently during the growing season, once every half a month. Fertilizer can be diluted liquid fertilizer, the concentration should not be too high. After the flowering period, you should stop planting in time to allow it to safely spend the winter.

2. Common diseases

During the breeding period, it is easy to be infected with anthrax, sooty mold and leaf blight, and the leaves will be damaged when the disease occurs. Once discovered, they should be removed and burned immediately to avoid further spread of infection. In addition, appropriate medicines should be sprayed for prevention and control.
