How to water a Clivia seedling

How to water a Clivia seedling

1. How to water

Observe the growth of the one-leaf seedlings daily, because they have a certain demand for water in the early stage, so they cannot be too dry. However, the flesh of the seedlings contains a lot of water, and watering too much will result in inability to absorb it, causing a burden. Generally, you should wait until the soil in the pot is completely dry before watering. To determine whether it is completely dry, you can pinch the soil into a ball with your hands. If it falls apart when touched, it means the soil in the pot is completely dry and needs water. Water it thoroughly at one time, and don't let the inside be half dry and half wet. There are also certain differences in water application in different seasons, with the cycle shortening in summer and lengthening in winter.

In addition to watering the roots, you can also use a spray bottle to spray water mist on the leaves, which not only replenishes moisture but also cleans the leaves.

2. Precautions

If you are watering the one-leaf seedling with tap water, you must be careful not to use tap water directly from the tap. The chlorine in it has not evaporated completely and will cause certain damage to the seedling. You can collect the water first, leave it indoors for a day or two, and then use it for watering.
