Cultivation methods and precautions of Brazilian wood

1. Soil

When breeding, you need to use well-drained, slightly acidic soil containing humus. You can mix organic fertilizer, perlite, garden soil, and leaf mold in a ratio of 1:2:3:4. This will meet the needs and ensure good growth.

2. Watering

Water frequently during the growing season to keep it moist, especially during the dry season in summer. During normal maintenance, water the plant when it is dry and water it thoroughly. When the temperature drops in autumn, reduce the amount of water, and control the water in winter.

3. Fertilization

It likes fertilizer and needs to be fertilized once every 20 days during the growing period. You can choose diluted liquid fertilizer, which can make the leaves brighter and greener. If you are maintaining a variegated leaf variety, you can apply liquid fertilizer or decomposed cake fertilizer.

4. Temperature

It has poor cold resistance and will stop growing when the temperature drops below 10 degrees. Therefore, it is necessary to keep it warm in winter and control the temperature above 13 degrees to allow it to hibernate naturally. It is best to provide an environment between 20 and 30 degrees, which will enable rapid growth.

5. Notes

Summer is its peak growth season, but the light is too strong during this period. Once exposed to strong light, the leaves will turn yellow and reduce their ornamental value. Therefore, it is important to provide shade in time and avoid strong sunlight. In addition, pay attention to pruning, otherwise some tall leaves will fall off, and new leaves can only grow if they are cut off in time.
