Cultivation methods and precautions of creeping grass

Cultivation methods and precautions of creeping grass

1. Breeding environment

1. Soil: It can grow in general soil, and can be maintained with garden soil, neutral soil, etc.

2. Light: The creeping grass is afraid of particularly strong sunlight. It is better to use scattered light for maintenance and provide appropriate shade in summer. It must not be exposed to strong sunlight.

3. Watering: The creeping grass is not tolerant to waterlogging. When planting, you should choose a place with higher terrain where it grows fast. It grows fast and requires a relatively large amount of water. You should water it in time and in an appropriate amount to keep the soil in the pot moist.

4. Fertilization: Apply compound fertilizer or organic fertilizer once every half month during its growth process to provide nutrient supply. Do not apply concentrated fertilizer as it will burn the roots.

2. Breeding Methods

1. Seed propagation: directly select healthy seeds and sow them into the soil for maintenance.

2. Cutting propagation: During the period from May to August, select healthy and strong branches of about 5 cm. The cut should be flat and clean. Wait until the branches are dry before cutting.

3. Pest and disease control

The main common diseases, such as anthracnose and powdery mildew, mainly harm the leaves and flowers of creeping grass. Once discovered, you can spray it with drugs such as mancozeb and thiophanate-methyl.

IV. Precautions

Dormant period: Winter is the dormant season for creeping grass. It is best to stop fertilizing at this time and do not water too frequently. You can touch the soil with your hand and water it if it is dry. Otherwise, do not water it. Wait until all its leaves have withered, then water it sufficiently to protect it from the cold during the winter.
