How to grow purple bamboo plum

How to grow purple bamboo plum

1. Soil

When caring for purple bamboo plum, it is best to use soil with good air permeability, and it should be loose and fertile. You can prepare your own nutrient soil by mixing leaf mold, peat, sand and decomposed organic fertilizer, so that it will grow more vigorously.

2. Temperature

It likes to grow in a warm environment, with temperatures between 15 and 25 degrees being best. It has relatively weak cold resistance and needs to be kept indoors in winter, with temperature control required.

3. Lighting

Purple Bamboo Plum likes sunlight, but not strong sunlight. Usually keep it in a well-lit place and block out the strong light in summer. With sufficient light, the growth will be more vigorous and the overall color will be more vivid. On the contrary, insufficient light will affect growth.

4. Watering

It prefers a humid environment, but is also drought tolerant to a certain extent. Therefore, you can water the plants when they are dry and wet, and they will not wither if you don't water them for a few days.

5. Fertilization

It likes fertilizer, but concentrated fertilizer is strictly prohibited. It is best to apply fertilizer in small amounts and multiple times, and apply thin fertilizers frequently. In addition, the fertilizer should not be too single. It is best to apply a mixture of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium fertilizers.
