Breeding methods and precautions of Golden Kylin

Breeding methods and precautions of Golden Kylin

1. Soil

It is recommended to choose a medium with good permeability and nutritious river mud and pond mud for the soil in the flowerpot. A layer of pebbles and small bricks can be placed at the bottom of the flowerpot to make it permeable.

2. Lighting

It prefers bright places and is not cold-resistant. It can be directly exposed to sunlight in spring, autumn and summer. The sunlight is too strong in summer and needs proper shade.

3. Temperature

It is very cold-intolerant and requires a growing environment between 15℃-20℃. It needs to be moved indoors for maintenance in winter.

4. Watering

It likes neutral water, and the water given cannot be too acidic or alkaline. Its origin is in the desert of South America so it is relatively drought-resistant. Do not water it too much, as this will do more harm than good. If there is water accumulation in the pot, it will easily cause root rot.

5. Fertilization

It does not have very strict requirements for fertilizer. It can be fertilized once a month during the growing period, and appropriate fertilizer can be applied during the flowering season to promote flowering.

6. Notes

The golden Kylin can be repotted once every 1-2 years. When repotting, you need to clean the loam on the roots and then trim the roots. After planting in the pot, keep the soil moist. Place the golden Kylin in the house for about 10 days before moving it outdoors.
