Cultivation methods and precautions of mountain peach grass

Cultivation methods and precautions of mountain peach grass

Although the mountain peach grass looks a little tall and is not easy to grow, it is actually very drought-resistant. If planted in a large flowerpot, it is easy to grow as long as the environment is suitable, and it has a particularly high ornamental value.

Cultivation method of mountain peach grass

1. Lighting

Mountain peach grass is very light-loving and needs to be given sufficient light during maintenance, but the plant can also continue to grow in semi-shade, but the amount of flowering will be reduced.

2. Temperature

The environmental temperature of mountain peach grass needs to be maintained above 18℃ during the seedling period. The most suitable growth temperature after adulthood is 16-25℃. Appropriate shade is needed when the temperature is too high.

3. Moisture

During the normal maintenance of mountain peach grass, watering does not need to be too frequent, but water should be prevented from accumulating in the soil. Just follow the principle of "watering thoroughly when dry". Too much water will result in poor growth.

4. Fertilization

Mountain peach grass grows very healthily and can bloom continuously. It does not need to be fertilized frequently, but you can occasionally supplement it with some well-rotted manure.

5. Potting soil

Mountain peach grass can also be planted in flower pots, but some garden soil, coarse sand, etc. need to be added to the soil. This can increase its drainage and air permeability, which is more conducive to the growth of the plant.

Matters Needing Attention in the Maintenance of Mountain Peach Grass

Mountain peach grass is actually a tropical flower. The plant has poor cold resistance. If it is grown in the north, it needs to be moved indoors for maintenance in time, and the indoor temperature must be maintained above 10℃.
