How to propagate plum trees by cuttings

When grafting plum trees, you must first prepare suitable cuttings. Choose healthy one-year-old branches and cut off a 17-centimeter-long section. Make an oblique cut at the bottom, dry it slightly and wait for the wound to shrink. The soil requirements are high. It is best to use loose, porous, slightly acidic soil with strong drainage and air permeability and a certain basic fertility. Soak the branches whose wounds have been dried in rooting water, and then insert them directly into the prepared soil. It is best to expose one or two buds. Water appropriately, shade and maintain until rooting.
