Sunflower seed germination method

Sunflower seed germination method

The reason for germinating sunflowers is to increase the germination rate. Soaking them in warm water can not only activate the growth of the seeds, but also allow the seeds to fully absorb water, which is beneficial to the germination rate. For sunflower seeds that have been germinated, not only the germination rate is higher, but the germination speed is also faster.

Sunflower germination method

1. Soaking and germination

Sunflower seeds can be germinated by soaking them. Place the sunflower seeds in water and pour in an appropriate amount of water so that the water surface covers the surface of the sunflower seeds. Wait for 7 days and the sunflower seeds will grow into seedlings.

2. Water absorption and germination

First, you need to prepare some absorbent items, then wrap the sunflower seeds with the absorbent items, place them in a cool environment, spray them with water every day, and wait for 7 days, the sunflower seeds will germinate.

Sunflower seedling planting

The first step is to grow sunflower seedlings in nutrient pots. Choose a nutrient soil mixed with peat, vermiculite and sand, and apply organic fertilizer as base fertilizer. After sowing the seeds, cover them with a layer of soil. After watering, keep the soil moist, and the seedlings will emerge in about 7 days.

Step 2. Sunflowers have high temperature requirements. They can grow rapidly in an environment of 18-30 degrees during the day and 10-18 degrees at night. When the temperature is below 10 degrees, the growth of sunflowers will be delayed and they will not be able to bloom.
