Cultivation methods and precautions of Xueying ivy

Snow ivy is beautiful and easy to grow. It has very strong vitality and grows very fast. It can quickly climb a wall. It looks fresh and pleasing to the eye. It is strong in nature, has strong adaptability to the environment, and requires relatively extensive management. However, if it is maintained in an environment below zero degrees for a long time, its growth will be hindered and it is prone to frost damage.

How to grow Xueying Xueying ivy

The growing season of Snow Ivy should be alternating between dry and wet. Too wet soil in the pot will cause root rot and leaf fall. Watering should be controlled in winter and the soil in the pot can be slightly moist. When the climate is dry, you can spray water on the leaves to keep the leaves green and shiny. Snow Ivy likes light and should be placed in a bright place indoors for maintenance. Apply thin cake fertilizer water or compound fertilizer once every half month during its growing period.

1. Watering

Snow ivy prefers to grow in a humid environment, so you need to water it more during its growth period to ensure that it has sufficient water. The soil should maintain moisture and not be too dry. If it lacks water, leaves will fall. The amount of water should be reduced appropriately in winter, but you should spray water in moderation, otherwise the breeding humidity will be too low.

2. Lighting

The place where Snow Ivy is maintained should have bright light and receive no less than 3-4 hours of sunlight every day, but it should not be exposed to strong light for a long time. If the breeding environment is too dark and not ventilated, the plant is likely to grow thin and elongated.

3. Temperature

Snow ivy likes light and should be kept in a bright place indoors. The suitable temperature for growth is 20-25℃. It is afraid of heat and is not cold-resistant. It should be protected from direct sunlight in summer. In winter, the room temperature should be kept above 10℃ and not lower than 5℃.

4. Fertilization

During the growth period of Snow Ivy, it should be fertilized 2-3 times a month to meet its nutrient needs. Fertilizer can be a thin organic liquid fertilizer. In winter, its growth rate will slow down, so fertilization should be stopped first.

Xueying Xueying Ivy Maintenance Precautions

Snow ivy is an ornamental plant with high requirements for aesthetics. Note that in the process of cultivating snow ivy, appropriate pruning is required in the spring every year. It can be done in the morning on a sunny day. The main pruning is to prune off the weak branches on the snow ivy to reduce nutrient consumption, and to shorten the branches that have grown too long. In addition, 3 to 4 pinching prunings are required every year to prevent the snow ivy from growing wildly.
