Sorghum growing areaSorghum planting areas are distributed in my country's Qinling Mountains, areas north of the Yellow River, and areas north of the Great Wall. There are four main sorghum planting areas. Among them, the spring sowing early-maturing areas are in Heilongjiang, Chengde, Hebei Province, etc., the spring sowing late-maturing areas are in Liaoning, Shaanxi, Beijing, etc., the spring and summer sowing areas are in Shandong, Jiangsu, etc., and the southern sorghum planting areas are in central and southern China and southern China. Sorghum growing environmentThe growth environment of sorghum is 18-35℃, and the minimum temperature is 8-12℃. If the temperature is too high, it will cause sorghum to grow slowly. During its growth, attention should be paid to light. If the light is insufficient, it will affect the growth of sorghum ears, causing sorghum ears to develop poorly and appear "bald neck". A relatively high light intensity is required to maintain the growth of sorghum. Sorghum Planting SoilSorghum has a wide range of adaptability and strong resistance to stress. It can be planted in fertile plains, arid hills, and barren mountains. Moreover, sorghum has a strong adaptability to soil acidity and alkalinity. Neutral soil is good, but it can be planted in alkaline and acidic soils. Different varieties have different acid and alkali resistance. In addition, sorghum is a dryland crop and can generally be planted in any field except paddy fields. Of course, it will yield higher yields when planted on land where the soil and water are balanced. Because sorghum is a crop that absorbs nutrients particularly well, continuous planting will reduce the fertility of the soil, which will not only reduce yields but also cause diseases. Its root system is relatively developed, so sorghum must be watered and fertilized reasonably. |
