Cultivation methods and precautions of jasmine

Pencil tip jasmine is very easy to grow and has a strong ability to adapt to the environment. It is easier to grow than all double-petaled jasmines. It can also tolerate the dry climate in the north in winter. It grows relatively fast and has a high ornamental value.

How to cultivate jasmine

1. Soil

Pencil tip jasmine likes to grow in loose and breathable soil. You can choose garden soil, river sand, and perlite, and mix them evenly in a ratio of 6:3:1 as the culture soil.

2. Lighting

Pencil tip jasmine is a light-loving plant and is suitable for cultivation in places with plenty of sunlight. For indoor cultivation, it can be placed on a balcony or in a sunny place near a window. It cannot be grown in a dark and enclosed environment for a long time.

3. Moisture

The jasmine plant is drought-tolerant and afraid of waterlogging. You can water it in time after the soil is completely dry to keep it moist. It is best to water it when it is dry and wet. In winter, the soil needs to be kept slightly dry, and the soil can be kept moist in other seasons.

4. Temperature

The most suitable growth temperature for Pencil Jasmine is about 23 degrees. If the temperature is below 5 degrees, the growth of the plant will be restricted. It needs to be moved to a warm place indoors for maintenance and proper insulation treatment to prevent frostbite.

Tip Jasmine Maintenance Precautions

When caring for the pen tip jasmine, you should pay attention to fertilizing. The pen tip jasmine has a relatively high demand for fertilizer. During the growth period, you can fertilize it every 20 days. You can choose elemental fertilizer and apply it frequently. During the dormant period, you need to stop fertilizing to prevent fertilizer damage.
