The cultivation methods and precautions of Marcus

Marcus is a succulent plant that is relatively easy to grow. It is easier to reproduce than other succulents, but it tends to grow tall and bloom relatively easily. Its dormancy period is not very obvious, and it can grow normally all year round in areas with suitable climates. At the same time, it has relatively high requirements for light and water.

How to grow Marcus

1. Repotting

Marcus needs to be repotted regularly. You need to choose a flower pot with good drainage. The material should preferably be a plastic pot or a clay pot. The size of the flower pot is determined by the size of the plant itself.

2. Soil

Marcus likes soil with good drainage. At the same time, we can add some leaf mold to make the soil loose and increase the nutrition of the potting soil. We can also add some sand, vermiculite, perlite and other particles to the flowerpot, generally adding it to 2/3 of the flowerpot.

3. Watering

The suitable temperature for Marcus' growth is in April. The weather at this time is relatively warm and the air is relatively dry, so it needs more water. You can wait until the soil in the pot is dry before watering.

Precautions for the maintenance of succulent Marcus

1. Rain

When there is less rain, Marcus can be exposed to some rain because rain contains slightly acidic substances, which is beneficial to the growth of the plant. If it is in the rainy season, it needs proper shelter from the rain to prevent root rot.

2. Fertilization

During the vigorous growth period of the plant, you can apply a thin layer of decomposed cake fertilizer water once a month or so. This can supplement the nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium elements for the plant, making the color of the Marcus leaves brighter.
