How to make Tiger Pilan grow taller, straighter and more vigorous (Maintenance methods of Tiger Pilan potted plants)

As one of the permanent plants in the home, Sansevieria is usually grown in the living room or study room. It has a unique style when paired with suitable furniture environment.

Tiger Piranha is a very easy-to-grow plant and is also a very typical lazy man's potted plant. You can take care of it in a rough and rough manner without being too careful. It is also suitable for novices to care for and it basically will not die.

But if the tiger skin plant at home grows slowly and does not grow well. Some friends asked why the tiger skin plant they raised has not grown for a year?

First, a large pot with lots of soil:

If you want the snake plant to grow fast, you need to use a larger flowerpot and then cultivate the soil scientifically so that it can grow quickly.

It is best to plant a single plant or 3 plants together. The flower pot should be 30X40 in length and width and about 20 in height. The large area means the root system is not restricted, the volume is large, and the soil is abundant, and the nutrition is sufficient.

It is recommended to use mixed soil for planting. We can mix farmland soil + humus soil + freshwater river sand in a ratio of one third each. The soil is loose and breathable, has good drainage, and is lightly fertile and slightly acidic.

When planting Sansevieria, you can bury a small amount of sheep dung balls at the bottom of the flowerpot as base fertilizer.

Second, a semi-yin and semi-yang environment:

If you want the snake plant to grow fast, you need to maintain the environmental temperature of the snake plant first.

The temperature of the micro-environment should be controlled between 18 and 28 degrees Celsius. Under the temperature suitable for long-term growth, the tiger skin plant will not go dormant, which will allow the tiger skin plant to grow for a longer time. For home maintenance, the plant should be brought indoors for the winter when the temperature is low, and shaded and ventilated when the temperature is high.

Lighting is essential for Sansevieria. If the light exposure time is too long and the temperature is too high, the leaves will turn yellow and burn. If the light exposure time is too short, the leaves will turn yellow and diseases will easily occur.

The best light exposure time for Tiger Pilan is to maintain at least 3 hours of direct light every day under suitable temperature, and bright light is also required during the day. Avoid exposure to high temperatures.

Third, maintain the root system:

The growth rate of the tiger skin plant is directly related to the development of its root system. Waterlogging in the planting material will easily cause the roots to rot, while lack of water in the planting material will easily cause the root tips to wither. These two situations will either slow down the growth rate or even cause the tiger skin plant to die.

Because Sansevieria has good drought resistance, most of them are killed by water.

When watering the tiger lily, it is best to use a combination of watering and spraying. Watering should be done until the planting material is completely dry.

When the surface of the planting material is about 3 centimeters dry, watering should be extended by about a week in spring and winter. In summer and autumn, watering can be done in the evening of the next day when the sun goes down and the soil cools down.

In spring and winter, you can spray the leaves 3 to 5 times a week. In summer and autumn, you can spray the leaves 3 to 5 times a day.

Fourth, fertilization method:

If you want Sansevieria to grow fast, "nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium" must be supplemented in a balanced manner. "Nitrogen" can promote leaf growth and latent bud growth. "Phosphorus and potassium" can promote root growth, improve environmental adaptability, and improve disease resistance.

If you want Sansevieria to grow fast, the daily fertilization should be "nitrogen as the main component, phosphorus and potassium as the supplementary components".

Within the range of suitable growth temperature, approximately between 16 and 28 degrees Celsius, you can fertilize the snake plant 1 to 2 times a month, and pay attention to applying thin fertilizers.

When applying organic fertilizer, it is recommended to apply more "bean cake fertilizer water" with a higher nitrogen content. The fermented bean cake fertilizer water should be diluted with water in a ratio of 1:3, and the flower soil can be watered thoroughly.
