How to grow potted jasmine well (how to grow jasmine bonsai well to make it bloom)

Jasmine is one of the most common potted flowers. Its flowers are elegant and white, its branches and leaves are lush and dark green, and it has a subtle floral fragrance. No matter from which aspect, it is a good variety worthy of home potted flowers.

However, some friends say that jasmine is difficult to grow. Either the flower heads do not appear, or the flower buds fall off after a few days, or the plants are not healthy at all...

In fact, there are methods to grow jasmine potted plants well. Jasmine also has its own likes and dislikes. Once you understand them, it will be much easier to maintain and it will be easier to achieve the effect of blooming pots.

First, planting material:

It is best to use mixed soil for growing jasmine. If you buy it from a flower shop, check whether it is yellow mud or a mixture of coconut bran + perlite. Both are not suitable for home maintenance of jasmine.

The recommended material for planting jasmine is to mix 1/3 of farmland soil + humus soil + freshwater river sand into mother soil, and then add 1/5 of perlite. When planting, bury some sheep manure organic soil at the bottom of the flowerpot.

Second, the environment for growing jasmine:

Jasmine likes light and is slightly shade-tolerant. As long as the temperature is not higher than 32 degrees Celsius during daily maintenance, it can be maintained in an environment with sufficient light.

When the temperature is above 32 degrees Celsius, ventilation should be strengthened and appropriate shade should be provided. When the temperature is below 10 degrees, the jasmine can be brought indoors for the winter. A week of zero degrees can completely freeze the jasmine to death. When maintaining it, it is best to choose a north-south transparent direction to maintain good ventilation.

Third, watering method:

Well-maintained jasmine branches are semi-vine-shaped and can grow very tall. There are two ways to replenish water:

When watering, you can water the plants when the surface of the planting material is about 3 cm dry . However, you can wait 3 to 5 days in spring and winter to let the planting material dry before watering. In summer and autumn, you can water the plants after the sun sets in the afternoon.

You can spray the leaves once in the morning and evening to wet them daily. In hot and dry seasons, spray 3 to 5 times to cool down and humidify the environment.

Fourth, fertilization method:

Normally when we wash rice, we can collect some of the water, put it in a plastic oil barrel, and place it on the terrace for about 15 days for fermentation.

When the temperature is between about 18 and 30 degrees Celsius, we can fertilize the jasmine once a month by diluting rice water in a ratio of 1:3 and directly watering the plants until they are thoroughly irrigated.

One month before the jasmine blooms, you can use a 1200% potassium dihydrogen phosphate aqueous solution for foliar fertilizer three times with an interval of one week each.

Fifth, pruning:

When jasmine grows, adventitious buds will grow from the base and crown from time to time. We need to remove these base buds and adventitious buds to reduce nutrient consumption. When the crown grows to different heights, they will block light and hinder ventilation.

It is necessary to prune high branches to allow reasonable spacing between branches in the crown. After flowering, prune dead flowers and overgrown branches in time.
