How to plant water spinach

1. Suitable environmental conditions

Water spinach likes high temperature and humidity, has strong heat resistance, and the suitable growth temperature is 25-30℃ . It requires more fertilizer and water and is suitable for planting in fertile sandy loam .

2. Cultivation methods

The seed coat of water spinach is thick and hard, so the seeds must be soaked and germinated before sowing. Soak the seeds in warm water at about 30℃ for 18 to 24 hours, then wrap them in wet cloth and place them in an environment of about 30℃ for germination.

When more than 50% of the seeds are white, they can be sown in rows or broadcast. After sowing, cover the soil with about one centimeter. If the temperature is low, it is best to cover it with plastic film. When the water spinach emerges from the soil, the plastic film should be removed in time. Generally, 30 days after sowing, when the plant grows to 35 cm in height, it can be harvested.
