Cultivation methods and precautions of tea oil

Growth habit

This tree prefers a warm environment and the surrounding temperature cannot be too low. On average, the temperature should be around 17℃, but it can be slightly lower during the flowering period, around 12 or 13℃. However, they do not have high requirements for soil. Ordinary deep acidic soil is fine, but the soil cannot be too hard and cannot contain too many stones.

Maintenance points

temperature

If the temperature is not well controlled, they may encounter sudden low temperatures. If they accidentally encounter late frost, their flowers will easily wither and the fruits may not be preserved. However, we cannot control the temperature ourselves, but the planting time can be adjusted. If we want it to grow when the temperature is right, we must choose the right time to plant. Sowing is done in both spring and winter. But if you want to take cuttings, you have to choose spring and autumn.

Moisture

Since you are planting outdoors, you cannot control the amount of rainfall, so if you want to regulate the amount of water, you must pay attention to the weather. In a normal year, there will be no problem if the rainfall reaches 1000mm throughout the year. However, if there are continuous rainy days during the flowering period, it will affect their pollination, which will naturally affect the yield. Therefore, we must pay attention to the drainage conditions around them and do a good job of drainage. If the weather is too dry, you can add water appropriately if conditions permit.

illumination

If there is not enough light, the leaves will become mottled. The direct impact on them is that the fruit will be reduced. Even if the number of fruits does not change much, the oil content in the fruit will be lower, so this factor must be taken into consideration when choosing a location.
