Sunlight: Blue beans like sunlight, but they must be protected from high temperatures. Too much sunlight will cause the leaves to age and affect the ornamental effect. Therefore, when the temperature is hot, they should be placed on a balcony or windowsill with sunlight in the morning and evening.

Fertilization

When growing blue beans, you can fertilize them once every 20 days, preferably with decomposed thin liquid fertilizer and nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium compound fertilizer. Blue beans prefer sandy soil and can adapt to poor soil, so it is okay not to fertilize them. When fertilizing, do not splash the fertilizer water onto the leaves. Water thoroughly once in the evening on the day of fertilization to dilute the residual fertilizer liquid in the soil.

Precautions

Blue beans are often harmed by diseases and pests, which can be controlled by spraying with chlorothalonil. Root-knot nematodes can be controlled with 3% furadan granules. The insect pest is the black weevil, which can be killed by spraying 25% carbaryl wettable powder.
