Celery germination method and time germination seedling method and steps

The purpose of germinating celery is to allow the seeds to absorb water as quickly as possible, so that the seeds can quickly reach the moisture content for germination, improve the germination rate and uniformity of the seeds, and the plants will grow better in the later stage.

Celery germination time

The most suitable temperature for celery seeds to germinate is 15-20℃. If the temperature exceeds 25℃, the germination rate will be significantly reduced. Therefore, it is best to germinate them in spring and autumn. In this way, the germination will be successful after about 7-10 days.

Celery germination technology

1. Clean water germination method

The most common way to germinate is to soak the celery seeds in warm water for about 24 hours. After taking them out and drying them, place them in a wet cloth. The ambient temperature should be controlled at around 15-20℃. It will take about 7 days.

2. Variable temperature germination method

After soaking the celery seeds, place them in an incubator at about 15℃. After 12 hours, slowly adjust the ambient temperature to above 25℃. This method will allow the seeds to germinate in about 3 days.

3. Minshui Seed Soaking Germination Method

Put the celery seeds into a clean cloth bag, soak it with water, and slowly hang it into the well, about 20-30 cm from the water surface. Take it out after one day and place it in an environment of 15-20℃ for germination. Wait until the radicle is exposed before sowing.
