How long does it take for soybeans to germinate?

Soybean is a common ingredient on the table and a common economic crop in my country. The main method of reproduction is sowing, which can usually be carried out between May and June.

Before sowing, soak the soybeans in clean water for 3-4 hours and take them out. Keep the temperature above 35℃ and water them every 10 hours, twice a day. Bean sprouts will grow in about 4 days. When the weather is cool, it takes 7-10 days for the soybeans to germinate.

Soybean germination time

Under the conditions of ensuring that the soil is loose and breathable and the temperature and humidity are suitable, soybean seedlings will emerge 7 to 10 days after sowing. If there is abundant rain after sowing, the emergence speed will be accelerated and seedlings will emerge in about 5 days.

Post-emergence management of soybean

1. Seedling replacement

After soybeans are planted and seedlings emerge, they should be checked regularly. If missing seedlings are found, they should be promptly replanted with seeds of the same variety after germination, or replanted with seedlings that have been thinned out.

2. Weeding

Weeding should be done in time during the soybean seedling stage to prevent weeds from competing with the soybean seedlings for nutrients and to promote the absorption of nutrients by the seedling roots to ensure healthy growth of the seedlings.

3. Flood prevention

The growing period of soybean seedlings is generally in summer, when the temperature is high and the rainfall is heavy. High temperature and high humidity can easily cause root rot of the bean seedlings and even the death of the seedlings, so drainage and waterlogging must be carried out in time.
