How to Plant Carrots in Autumn

1. Germination method

When planting autumn carrots, you need to select seeds that are plump, complete, healthy and disease-free. Then soak the autumn carrot seeds in warm water at 30-40 degrees for a period of time, and remove and discard the empty grains floating on the water surface. Then you can place the autumn carrot seeds in an environment with a temperature of 25 degrees for germination.

2. Sowing method

When planting autumn carrots, you need to sow the seeds of the plant on the soil surface, cover the seeds with a thin layer of soil, and then water the soil once to make the autumn carrots grow vigorously. Cover the soil with a layer of plastic film to keep the autumn carrots warm and moist. After the autumn carrots germinate, you can remove the film.

After planting autumn carrots, management needs to be strengthened. When it grows 3-4 true leaves, it should be top-dressed. You can use a mixture of potassium fertilizer, calcium sulfate, calcium persulfate, etc. During the vigorous growth period of autumn carrots, a second topdressing should be carried out.
