Cultivation methods and precautions of Cymbidium orchid

Cultivation methods and precautions of Cymbidium orchid

1. Flower soil

Large-flowered Cymbidium likes to grow in flower soil that contains more nutrients and has better drainage. You can use leaf mold directly, or you can add some fern roots, moss and other materials to the peat soil as its flower soil.

2. Lighting

When it is growing faster, it needs to be exposed to sufficient light. Try to place it in a place with brighter diffuse light. But in summer, be sure to shade it. Because the sunlight is very strong at this time, it is easy to sunburn its leaves.

3. Temperature

It likes a growing environment with moderate temperatures. It is best to maintain it within 15-25℃ at normal times, which can make it grow faster. In addition, when it is producing flower buds, you should try to keep the temperature difference between day and night at 10-15℃, which is very beneficial for the production of flower buds.

4. Watering

When raising it, make sure you give it plenty of water. Especially in summer, you can water more. Because it likes slightly acidic water, it is best to adjust the pH of the water to around 6.5 before watering it. In addition, in winter, do not water it with too cold water. Instead, water it with water that is close to room temperature to prevent it from freezing.

5. Notes

When the plant grows larger, it needs to be replaced with a larger pot. This is more conducive to its growth.
