Introduction to Lily Growth

Lilies prefer a cool, humid semi-shady environment and are relatively shade-tolerant. They are a short-day plant and are mainly produced in Yixing, Lianyungang, Dongtai, Hai'an, Shaoyang, Longhui, Anhua, Changsha, Yueyang, Pingjiang, Yuanyang, Liuyang, Longshan and other places in Jiangsu.

Lily growth cycle

Lilies prefer a warm, humid, sunny environment. They are not tolerant to low and high temperatures, but are tolerant to partial shade. They like fertile, loose, well-drained sandy loam.

The growth cycle of lily is three months. It blooms in early July, reaches peak flowering in mid-July, and ends flowering in late July. The fruiting period is from July to October.

Lily growth rate

After sowing the lilies, you can see flower buds when the plant reaches a height of 15 cm. As the flower buds grow bigger, they need to be kept in a sunny environment. They will bloom one after another every day. After a month, most of the flower buds will have bloomed.

Lilies grow quickly, usually in three months.

Lily growth cycle management

With 1,200 acres of lily planting and an annual income of 5 million yuan, it has helped a large number of farmers get rid of poverty and become rich.

Temperature management: Lilies are cold-resistant, and the optimal growth temperature is between 15 and 25 degrees. The winter temperature needs to be above 10 degrees, and the summer temperature cannot exceed 30 degrees, otherwise it will lead to poor growth.

Fertilization management: When lilies are first planted, base fertilizer can be applied. When they begin to germinate in spring, which is their growth period, they need appropriate topdressing, mainly solid fertilizers, such as animal manure, etc. Topdressing is mainly decomposed organic fertilizers.
