How long is the growth cycle of bamboo fungus?

Introduction to the growth of bamboo fungus

Bamboo fungus is mostly produced in high temperature and high humidity areas and prefers a warm and humid environment. It is widely distributed in China and is mainly planted in Heilongjiang, Jilin, Hebei, Shaanxi, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Anhui, Hunan, Hubei, Jiangxi, Fujian, Sichuan, Yunnan, Guizhou, Tibet, Guangdong, Guangxi and Taiwan.

Growth cycle of bamboo fungus

Bamboo fungus likes high temperature and high humidity environment. It is suitable to be planted in acidic substrate. It is not resistant to strong light and needs to be maintained in a semi-shaded environment.

It takes one year for bamboo fungus to grow from spores to fruiting bodies, but the growth cycle of the fruiting bodies is only a few hours, and the collection time is shorter, only a few minutes.

Growth rate of bamboo fungus

When the bamboo fungus first emerges from the soil, it is in the shape of a spherical ball, also called a bamboo fungus egg. When it grows to a certain size, it will often begin to grow taller, then grow into a cylindrical shape, and then open its lace umbrella.

Bamboo fungus grows very fast.

Dictyophora growth cycle management

Bamboo fungus grows vigorously. The average yield of dry bamboo fungus per mu is about 80 kilograms, and if the yield is good, it can be 100 kilograms.

Temperature management: The suitable growth temperature of bamboo fungus mycelium is 20 to 23 degrees, and the fruiting body formation temperature is 20-24 degrees Celsius. Above 28 degrees Celsius, the growth potential is weak. Above 35 degrees Celsius, the growth will stop. When the temperature is below 15 degrees, the development is very slow and the fungus ball is prone to deformity.

Fertilization management: Bamboo fungus has a long growth period. If it only relies on the nutrients in the cultivation soil to maintain its growth, it is not enough. Additional nutrients must be added. When the buds grow to the size of beans, glucose, magnesium sulfate, potassium dihydrogen phosphate, urea and water can be mixed into an aqueous solution and sprayed once every few days until the buds grow to the size of eggs.
