Growth habits of taro

The growth process of taro is divided into three stages: germination stage, seedling stage and plant and bulb formation stage.

Taro evolved from an aquatic plant and grows in a suitable environment with moist soil and relative air humidity. Since it absorbs a large amount of water during the growing period, taro is not drought-tolerant.

Taro needs to consume a lot of fertilizer during the growth period. In addition to fertilizing before sowing, top dressing should be carried out several times. In the early stage, nitrogen fertilizer is mainly used to lay a good foundation for the development of taro. In the later stage, more potassium phosphate fertilizer is consumed.

Taro prefers a cool environment and has no requirements for light. It can grow normally in dim light conditions, but the light intensity and light time still have some slight effects on taro.

3. Soil

Taro is not very demanding on the soil. It can be planted on any flat land that is convenient for irrigation. As long as the soil is fertile, it is suitable for the growth of taro.
