Planting time and method of red beans

Planting time of red beans

The most suitable time to plant red beans is between April and June each year. April is an early sowing month, and the yield will be higher if planted in May and June because the climate and temperature at that time are most suitable for growth. The seeds can germinate quickly after planting, and as long as they are properly maintained, the yield will not be low.

How to plant red beans

1. Land preparation: Red beans consume a lot of nutrients when growing. In order to make them grow vigorously, sufficient base fertilizer needs to be applied before planting, and deep plowing should also be carried out.

2. Seed selection and processing: When planting red beans, you need to choose varieties with high resistance and high yield, and the color should be bright, so as to improve the germination ability of the seeds. After selecting the seeds, they need to be exposed to the sun for three days and disinfected.

3. Sowing in the soil: When sowing red beans, hole sowing is generally adopted. Holes need to be dug according to the plant spacing of 15-25 cm and the row spacing of 16 cm. 2-3 seeds need to be placed in each hole.

Precautions for planting red beans

During the growth period, red beans require relatively large amounts of nutrients and water. In order to allow them to grow vigorously, they need to be watered immediately after the soil is found to be relatively dry, and topdressed according to the growth of the seedlings. Generally, compound fertilizers are applied.
