Can orange peels be used as flower soil?

Orange peels can be used as flower soil, but they must be dried in advance. Fresh orange peels cannot be used as flower soil. If they are applied directly to the soil, the orange peels will rot and deteriorate. The bacteria produced will infect the injured roots of the plant, affecting the growth and development of the plant's roots, causing the plant's roots to rot and necrotize.

How to use orange peels to grow flowers

1. Rinse the orange peel with clean water, mix it with clean water in a ratio of 1:100, and then place it in a sealed container for fermentation. After soaking for 24 hours, take out the upper clear liquid as fertilizer and spray it on the plant part or around the soil.

2. You can chop the dried orange peel, add apple peel, pear peel and other fruit peels, add clean water, put them together in a container for mixed fermentation, leave 20% of the space in the container, place it in the sun to ferment, open the lid to ventilate every half a month, and after 3 months of fermentation, it will become nutritious fruit enzyme, which can be diluted at a ratio of 1:50 before use.

3. You can also mix the orange peel with clean water, put it in a blender and stir it. Then apply the stirred orange peel residue directly to the soil. This can promote the plant roots to better absorb nutrients and reduce the occurrence of diseases and pests. Apply the squeezed orange juice evenly on the plant leaves to ensure healthy growth of the leaves.

Things to note when growing flowers with orange peels

Orange peel cannot be used directly and needs to be diluted with water to avoid fertilizer damage. In addition, orange peel can adjust the pH value. If you like acidic plants and plant them in alkaline soil, you can add some orange peel water to the soil to increase the acidity of the soil, which can promote the blooming of flowers.
