Can Syngonium be hydroponically cultivated? Is hydroponics better or soil cultivation better?

Can Syngonium be hydroponically cultivated?

Syngonium can be grown hydroponically, as opposed to soil culture. The two methods have their own strengths. The advantages of hydroculture are that it is easy to operate, clean and tidy, and not prone to diseases and pests. However, Syngonium grown in soil has sufficient nutrients and its growth momentum will be better.

Methods and key points of hydroponic cultivation of Syngonium

1. Choose branches

Select good Syngonium branches, with aerial roots and a length of about 6-10 cm. Then prune them and soak them in rooting powder and water for about 30 minutes.

2. Select the container

The container for hydroponic Syngonium should be transparent. You can use a glass bottle or a plastic bottle, which makes it easier to observe whether the branches have taken root.

3. Carry out hydroponics

Pour clean and sterile mineral water into a pot, then insert the branches of Syngonium into it, with about one-third of the branch immersed. After inserting it, you can use foam to fix it.

Precautions for growing taro in water

Before the Syngonium podophyllum takes root in hydroponics, it needs to be placed in a cool, ventilated environment for maintenance. Avoid direct sunlight. The water needs to be changed every 3 days in the early stage. After the plant takes root, the water can be changed every 7-10 days. This way the plant can grow quickly.
