What are the breeding methods and precautions for red

Growth habit of red

The red-green alstroemeria likes a warm and humid climate, and the suitable temperature for its growth is 18-25℃. It does not like extreme heat, and the sunlight should not be too strong. Avoid long-term direct sunlight in summer. Sufficient sunlight is needed for cultivation in winter. The soil requires loose, fertile sandy loam with a pH of 5.5-6.5. Avoid waterlogging.

How to breed red

Soil requirements: Choose loose, breathable, well-drained, and organic-rich sandy soil for maintenance, which is more conducive to the growth of plants. You can use leaf mold, river sand, and farmland soil to mix and add a small amount of organic fertilizer when mixing the soil.

Temperature requirements: The most suitable temperature for growth is around 20°C. Place it in a cool environment in summer and control the temperature not to exceed 30°C. Move it indoors in winter to keep warm and control the temperature not lower than 5°C.

Light requirements: It is recommended to place it in a place with good lighting for maintenance. The plant can be given full-sun maintenance in spring, summer and autumn. The light is too strong in summer, so shade measures need to be taken to avoid strong light from sunburning the plant.

Watering method: When watering amaryllis, water it thoroughly, but do not allow water to accumulate. Keep the soil slightly moist at all times. If you water too much, take drainage measures to prevent rot due to water accumulation.

Fertilization method: When repotting, changing soil, and planting Amaryllis, base fertilizer should be applied. After potting, apply phosphorus and potassium fertilizers once a month. The principle of fertilization is to apply thinly and frequently to promote flower bud differentiation and flowering.

Pruning method: Amaryllis grows very fast and its leaves are very dense, so it is necessary to cut off the dead and diseased leaves in time to help the healthy leaves grow better.

Precautions for breeding of red

If you want Amaryllis to grow better, you must do a good job of disease and pest control. You can spray some pesticides every month. It is best not to spray at noon to avoid pesticide damage. You can choose to do it in the morning and afternoon on sunny days.
