Is ginger a shade-loving or sun-loving plant?

Does Jiang like Yin or Yang?

Ginger is a shade-loving plant, but judging from its living habits, the plant can also accept a certain amount of weak light exposure, but it must not be exposed to direct strong light, otherwise it will cause the branches and leaves of the plant to wither, restricting its normal growth and development.

Ginger in the sun

Ginger is a mesophotophilic plant. The plant can only grow well under light of medium intensity. The daily light time should be more than 6 hours. If it encounters high temperature and strong light in the seedling stage, the leaves of the plant will turn yellow and the growth will be sluggish.

Ginger can be exposed to the sun, and generally it only needs some scattered light. It is best to place it in front of a bright window, avoiding direct sunlight, but also not completely shielding it from the sun.

Ginger growth habits

Ginger is native to tropical regions. The plant prefers a warm, humid, well-lit growing environment. It has weak cold and drought resistance. The most suitable growth temperature is 25-28℃. It is not strict about light requirements, but cannot tolerate strong sunlight.

Ginger is widely cultivated in my country and has relatively high requirements for the planting environment. It is best grown in fertile and loose loam. It will grow poorly in heavy and moist soil, and the planting site must also have sufficient light.
