Seed propagation method of Crinum

The seeds of Crinum juncea look like a potato, with a light green skin. The seeds are hard and have a light green outer skin. About two-thirds below the seeds is the embryo, which is the main reason for its long germination period. When the seeds are about to be planted in the soil, they need to be laid flat with the bud end facing upwards. Crinum orchid seeds can be sown in all seasons.

step:

1. Humus soil or fine sand is needed for disinfection. (Humus soil needs to be soaked in boiling water, while fine sand needs to be roasted. Keep the temperature around 25°C. It will take about 50-70 days for roots to sprout.

2. Select two or three leaves for transplanting, and avoid exposure to strong light during the germination period.

3. Seed propagation is best carried out in late autumn. Collect seeds and sow them at the same time, cover them with soil twice the diameter of the seeds, keep the soil moist at all times, water them frequently, and wait until they germinate and grow about 3 true leaves, then they can be planted.

As long as you take good care of the seeds of Asparagus japonica, there will be no problem in most cases. The steps may be a bit complicated, but if you are careful, I believe you will be able to bloom beautiful Asparagus japonica orchids.
