Forget-me-not seeds sowing time

The most suitable season for planting forget-me-not seeds is spring and autumn. When sowing, it is best to control the temperature at around 15-20℃. The seeds will germinate quickly. The ambient temperature should not be higher than 25℃. If the temperature can be well controlled, they will generally germinate in about 10-15 days.

Forget-me-not seed planting method and steps

1. Germination treatment

Forget-me-nots need to be germinated before sowing. Soak the healthy seeds in a gibberellin solution for 4-5 hours, then soak them in warm water for about 6 hours. After the seed coat gradually softens, place them in soil rich in organic matter for cultivation. After the seeds turn white, they can be planted.

2. Soil treatment

Before sowing forget-me-nots, you need to choose suitable soil. It is suitable for growing in deep, loose, breathable and slightly alkaline sandy soil. Before planting, you need to apply sufficient organic fertilizer and slow-release compound fertilizer to the soil. After application, stir it evenly and thoroughly. After watering, keep the soil moist, but do not cause water accumulation to avoid root rot.

3. Post-planting management

After the forget-me-not seeds turn white, they can be sown in the prepared soil, covered with a layer of sand about 3 cm thick, and the humidity is maintained at around 70%. The spacing is controlled at around 30 cm. The planting depth should mainly cover the roots. The temperature after sowing should not exceed 25°C. After true leaves grow, they can be planted with soil.
