According to the type of cultivated plants, they are divided into herbaceous flower plants and woody flower plants. For herbaceous flower plants, you should choose new branches of the year, because the new branches have sufficient nutrients, full branches and leaves, are easier to take root, and are very easy to survive.

For woody flower plants, choose semi-lignified branches, which have the best survival rate. However, be sure to cut off the flowers on the branches when planting, because the flowers consume a lot of nutrients, resulting in insufficient nutrients in the branches and yellowing of the leaves.

The branches should be pruned before planting. The cuts should be flat, and the roots of the branches should be cut obliquely because the cut area is the smallest, which means the loss of water and nutrients is the least. For the lower part, the oblique cut area is the largest, so it absorbs more water and nutrients.

You can add a little rooting powder to the soil to ensure sufficient nutrients in the roots and promote rapid rooting of branches. Rooting powder can generally be purchased in the flower market. It is cheap and easy to use.

Plants quickly take root and sprout

Break off a dozen willow branches, preferably branches with new leaves sprouting, cut off all the leaves on the strips, and cut the branches into small pieces. Put them in a plastic bottle and soak them in clean water. When the branches floating on the surface fall to the bottom of the water, you can take out the soaked water and use it to water the plants, which can help them grow roots quickly.

Cut the stem at the bottom of the plant at an angle of 30 to 45 degrees, then cut off the leaves, leaving only a few leaves on the top, and plant the cuttings in water. 1. Rice vinegar: Dilute a few drops of rice vinegar with water, soak the cuttings in the solution for 1 hour, take them out and dry them, and then carry out cuttings, which will enable them to take root quickly.

2. Aspirin: Dilute half an aspirin with water, then soak the plants in the aspirin solution for half an hour. Aspirin contains salicylic acid, which can help wound healing and promote rooting.
