How to change the soil for a smooth sailing and what is the time and method of changing the soil

When is the right time to change the soil?

In the south, it is more appropriate to change the soil of the tree in winter or spring. If it is planted in the north, it is generally not possible to change the soil before winter. You can choose to do it in spring, which is more conducive to plant survival.

The soil of the plant cannot be changed in summer because the temperature is too high. Changing the soil at this time will not be conducive to its rapid recovery of growth and it will be difficult for the plant to survive.

It is best to change the soil and transplant the plants in May or June every year. During this period, the plants are in their vigorous growth period and can survive as soon as possible after changing the soil and transplanting.

How to change soil and pots smoothly

Before changing the soil and pot for the Yi Fan Feng Shun plant, you need to stop watering for 1-2 days to keep the soil in the pot dry. Then loosen the soil, carefully take out the Yi Fan Feng Shun plant, remove the old and rotten roots, soak the roots in a solution of carbendazim for sterilization, and then take it out and place it in a ventilated place to dry.

Prepare a flowerpot of similar size to the plant. The soil should be loose and breathable, rich in humus, and must be disinfected before use. Then fill part of the soil in the flowerpot, plant the plant in it, fill in the remaining soil, and gently press the soil.

Smooth sailing soil

The soil for smooth sailing can generally be made into a matrix with equal amounts of leaf mold, peat soil, and about 1/4 river sand or a small amount of perlite. You can also add a small amount of farmyard manure, bone meal, or well-rotted cake crumbs as base fertilizer.

Things to note when changing soil smoothly

1. It is better to use sandy loam rich in humus for smooth soil change and repotting. It is better to be loose, well-drained and well-ventilated, which is conducive to plant growth.

2. The soil should be changed once a year. This can allow the plant to always grow in high-quality flower soil and prevent it from having growth problems due to soil deterioration.
