How to care for Yushu in winter? Winter cultivation methods and precautions

Is Yushu afraid of freezing?

The best growth temperature for jade plant is between 15-30 degrees. It can tolerate a minimum temperature of around 5 degrees Celsius. If the temperature is lower than this, it may suffer frost damage.

Winter maintenance methods for jade trees

1. In winter, when caring for jade plant indoors, move it to a bright area in the room and do not add fertilizer to it. It cannot tolerate the cold in severe winter, so the temperature should be kept above seven degrees.

2. In winter, you should first move the jade tree indoors, and keep the indoor temperature above 8-10 degrees. If it is very warm at noon, you can also move it outdoors to bask in the sun, but move it back indoors at night;

3. When caring for jade plants in winter, when the soil in the pot is too dry, it is best to water the plant a little, but not too much, otherwise it will easily cause water accumulation in the pot, causing the plant to grow poorly.

4. In winter, the jade plant should be exposed to more sunlight, but be careful not to place the jade plant in the sun at noon, because the sunlight at this time may burn the plant.

5. Generally, when caring for jade plants in winter, the outdoor temperature in northern regions is too low, so when the ambient temperature drops below 5 degrees Celsius, you should move it to a warm indoor place for maintenance to prevent it from freezing to death.

Precautions for breeding in winter

1. Watering the jade plant in winter should be done at noon when the temperature is high, and the water temperature should be consistent with the room temperature. Reduce the frequency of watering and keep the soil slightly dry.

2. In order to prevent the jade plant from having too much nutrients, it should be fed with rotted livestock manure, especially when changing the soil or transplanting it, it must be given enough fertilizer.

3. When caring for jade plants in winter, to avoid the plant from freezing to death, you should transplant it indoors in time when the temperature drops, and control the dryness and wetness of the potting soil so that it can survive the winter safely.
