How to plant daisies? When and how to plant them

Daisy planting time

The best time to plant daisies is from August to September, when the temperature is more suitable for seed germination and the germination rate is higher.

How to plant daisies

When planting daisies, you must choose the right time. Generally, they are planted in August and September. Prepare good quality and plump seeds. The flower pots need to be air-permeable and suitable for root breathing. You can use the broadcasting method to plant them. Sow the seeds into the soil and cover them with a layer of 2-3 cm of soil.

How to plant the daisies I just bought

1. Sprinkle seeds in the flowerpot, sprinkle a thin layer of soil, water it thoroughly, and place it in a sunny place.

2. It needs water to grow. Water it every two days and try to keep the base of the flowerpot filled with water.

3. After the seeds germinate, they can be placed in the sun in the morning and at night, but remember to put them indoors during the strong sun at noon, otherwise they will wilt in the sun.

How to grow daisies quickly

1. Make sure the soil is fertile, because daisies have well-developed root systems, reproduce quickly, are easy to keep alive, and are highly cold-resistant, so they can be grown outdoors in winter.

2. Daisies are shade-tolerant and suitable for growing under diffuse light. They easily wither in summer, so the small daisies at home should not be exposed to the sun in midsummer and should be transplanted to a cool location for maintenance.

3. Daisies are not heat-resistant, and the most suitable temperature should be maintained at around 20℃. If the temperature is too low or too high, it will affect its growth.

4. Daisies need to be given certain fertilizers. You can use nutritionally balanced compound fertilizers to make them grow luxuriantly.

Things to note when growing daisy in pots

When potted, use rotten leaves and rare earth as base fertilizer. A spacing of about 10 cm between each plant is more appropriate. After planting, water twice a week. Do not over-fertilize. Manure water can be applied once every 2 to 3 weeks. No fertilizer is needed during flowering.

Daisies like places with plenty of sunlight. They should be placed outdoors in a ventilated place in spring and autumn to bask in the sun. If they are not divided and transplanted in the early stage, they can be divided at the end of October. Pull out the roots and add fertile leaf mold as the raw material to ensure the root growth of the daisies.
