What do beets look like?

The root of beet is conical to fusiform, juicy, just like radish, with an upright stem below the bulb, more or less branched, with ridges and color stripes, and the upper part is rectangular with basal leaves. The entire part below the root is purple, and the upper part is the same as ordinary vegetables.

How to prepare beets

1. Cold salad

Wash the beet roots with clean water, then peel them, and cut the peeled beets into shreds. Be careful not to cut them too thick or too thin. Then put the shredded beets in a large enough container. You can also put some fruits in it. Add appropriate amounts of vinegar, olive oil and other condiments, stir well and it is ready to eat.

2. Stir-fried tofu

Peel the beets, cut them into pieces, and cook them first. At the same time, dice the tofu. You can choose some common seasonings as the ingredients. Heat the pan with a little oil, stir-fry the beets on medium heat for about half a minute, then add tofu, peas, etc. and stir-fry. After the side dishes are ready, just add the seasonings and it's done.
