Introduction to soybean growth Soybeans are best grown on clay-sandy loam, clay loam or sandy loam. There are five main producing areas of soybeans in China. Soybean growth cycle The life cycle of soybeans goes through the processes of seed germination, emergence, seedling growth, branching, flowering, podding, grain filling, and maturity, which can be divided into six growth periods. Soybean growth rateUnder suitable conditions, soybeans can emerge 4-6 days after sowing, the seedling stage is about 20-25 days, the branching stage is generally about 25-30 days, the budding to flowering stage is generally 3-7 days, and the grain filling stage is about 30-40 days. The growth period varies greatly depending on the variety, ranging from 60 days to 100 days. Soybean Growth Cycle ManagementThe yield of soybeans per mu is 400-500 kilograms. If it is not managed properly, it can be more than 200 kilograms. In general, the average yield of soybeans per mu is about 150 kilograms. Temperature management : Soybeans begin to germinate at 10-12 degrees and are best planted in an environment of 15-20 degrees. The growth environment temperature should be maintained at 20-25 degrees. The flowering and podding period should be two or three degrees higher than usual. Fertilization management : Nitrogen fertilizer should be added after soybeans bloom. Ammonium bicarbonate or urea can be applied, or urea can be sprayed during the pod and grain stage. |
