When the lotus seeds are placed in clean water, the seed coat will gradually crack and germinate. After a dozen days, young leaves will grow, and then upright leaves will appear. When the flowering period comes, flowers will bloom in the middle of the leaves, and oval nuts will be produced, with oval seeds inside.

Management of the growth cycle of lotus

Temperature management: Bowl lotus is best grown in an environment of 20-30 degrees. When the temperature is below 15 degrees, it will enter a dormant state and its growth and development will be slow.

Fertilization management : Fertilization of water lilies can be done on sunny afternoons. No fertilizer is required in winter. If the plant is small, nitrogen fertilizer should be added. If the flower buds are small, phosphorus fertilizer should be applied. If the stems are thin, potassium fertilizer should be applied. If too much fertilizer is applied, water more to dilute the remaining fertilizer.
