How long is the growth cycle of pineapple?

Introduction to Pineapple Growth

Pineapple is a tropical fruit with more than seventy varieties. It is native to the Amazon River Basin in Paraguay and Brazil in South America. It was introduced to China from Brazil as early as the 16th century and has now spread to the entire tropical region.

Pineapple growth cycle

The growth cycle of pineapple flowers is about 3 months, but if the temperature is too high, the flowering period will be shortened. It likes plenty of sunlight, but cannot accept strong light, otherwise its leaves will be injured.

Pineapple growth characteristics : Pineapple grows in southern China and prefers a warm, well-lit growing environment. Summer is its peak growth season and it stops growing in winter. It has strong drought resistance and if there is water accumulation in the pot, it needs to be drained in time.

Pineapple growth rate

Pineapple is a type of pineapple that has a long and slow growth period of about one and a half years. It can last for three to four years before it can bloom and bear fruit.

Growth process : The growth period of pineapple is divided into four stages: rooting, germination, flowering and fruiting. Ornamental pineapples bloom once a year and will wither after blooming. Its fully mature fruit is dark yellow to orange-yellow, with beautiful appearance and rich fragrance.

Pineapple Growth Cycle Management

The average pineapple yield per acre is about 4,900 to 5,000 kilograms. With about 6,600 seedlings per acre, the yield in a high-yield field is about 5,260 kilograms.

Temperature management : The most suitable growth temperature for pineapple is between 21 and 32 degrees Celsius during the day and between 10 and 18 degrees Celsius at night, so that it can grow good quality fruits.

Fertilization management : Using water-soluble fertilizer containing humic acid during the growing period of pineapple can improve its growth and promote its growth. During the flowering and fruiting period, high-nitrogen and high-potassium water-soluble fertilizer should be used to increase the flowering and fruiting rate, and have a good effect on flower and fruit preservation. During the expansion period, high-potassium water-soluble fertilizer should be used to improve the quality of pineapple.
