How to grow catharanthus in summer

How to grow catharanthus in summer

1. Summer maintenance methods

1. Attributes

The plant prefers light, and even if it is placed in direct sunlight for a whole year, it will not cause any adverse effects. At the same time, catnip is relatively tolerant to shade and can grow well as long as the environment is warm and cool. However, its cold resistance is not so objective. When winter comes, the catnip must be placed in an indoor environment above zero degrees to ensure its normal growth. In addition, catnip prefers soil with good drainage and air permeability. Do not water it too much, otherwise it will be soaked and cause root rot.

2. Shade

The catnip loves exposure to light, and does not need to be shielded even from direct sunlight in the high summer temperatures. It does not need to be moved from its normal or original living environment, and there is no need to worry about it withering due to direct sunlight.

3. Watering

Although the roots of the catnip are afraid of being soaked, the evaporation in summer is higher than that in spring and autumn, so the amount of watering should be about one to two times more, but once summer is over, the water supply should be reduced in time. Another characteristic of the petal is that it likes rain. In the summer, when the temperature is high and there are many rainy days, it is not difficult to collect some rainwater. Pouring it into the petal pot will speed up its growth and make it more dense.

2. Precautions

Although it is a foliage plant, the catnip will still bloom, but the flowers are smaller. As long as you take good care of the catnip in summer, it will definitely become a pot of flowers that is both fragrant and pleasant.
