Citrus is a plant that adapts to a wide range of soils and prefers a warm, humid, evenly-rained growing environment with an annual rainfall of about 1,000 mm. Its main producing areas are Zhejiang, Fujian, Hunan, Sichuan and other provinces.

Citrus has a wide range of adaptability to the environment. The average annual temperature in the most suitable planting area is 15-22℃, and a day-night temperature difference of about 20℃ is required when flower buds differentiate in autumn.

Citrus Growth Period and Process

Citrus is widely grown in various regions of the country, mainly concentrated between 20-33° north latitude, with a maximum altitude of 2,600 meters. The peak growth period is in spring and summer, and it will start to bear fruit 3-5 years after planting.

Citrus is a perennial plant with a lifespan of more than 40 years. Its growth goes through several stages, including seedling stage, growing stage, flowering stage, fruit drop stage, and maturity stage.

Citrus Planting Process and Methods

1. Soil treatment: Citrus planting should be chosen in spring or autumn, and the layer depth of the planting site is required to be more than 80 cm. In addition, corresponding drainage and water storage facilities must be prepared.

2. Planting: Citrus can be planted according to a row spacing of 4*6 meters. After planting, you only need to do a good job of fertilizer and water management, reasonable pruning, etc., and the survival rate is very high.
