Dandelion is a perennial herb. The best time to sow it is autumn, when the environment and temperature are most suitable. It usually takes about 15 days from sowing to germination.

How to plant dandelion seeds

1. Soil preparation: Dandelions have high requirements for soil permeability. When cultivating, they can be prepared with humus soil, garden soil, pond mud, and fine sand, and an appropriate amount of decomposed farmyard manure can be added to the soil.

2. Planting: Plant dandelion seeds evenly in the pot, cover with soil about 0.5 cm after sowing, keep the soil moist in the later stage, and cover with ground film if planted in the ground.

Dandelion Seed Collection

The dandelion blooms from April to September. It can be harvested when the outer shell of the flower disk changes from green to yellow-green and the seeds turn brown. If the harvesting time is too late, the flower disk will crack and the seeds will easily fly away.
