The bottle orchid is a tree-like succulent plant with a very peculiar stem. The base is swollen, much like a large wine bottle. The bark has small cracked squares and the leaves are swaying, making it a very peculiar decorative plant.

Bottle orchid is generally propagated by sowing, but it does not produce seeds. Most of the seeds are imported from the place of origin. Before sowing, you can mix leaf mold and river sand to make nutrient soil. After sowing, keep it moist, but not too wet, otherwise it will cause rot.

Sowing in this season may encounter low temperatures and cold waves, so remember to keep warm and prevent cold to prevent frost damage.

Bottle orchid is suitable for planting in large pots, whether it is placed at home or in the office. Bottle orchid has strong drought resistance and does not need a lot of water. Bottle orchid grows relatively vigorously in spring, summer and autumn. Give it appropriate water and fertilizer every 20 days or so. Do not fertilize it in winter.

In addition, repot and change the soil of the bottle orchid every three years. When repotting, you can trim the roots of the plant. It is a sun-loving plant and usually needs sufficient light, but proper shade is needed when the sunlight is strong.
