Does the Glass Palace need root repair?

The Liuli Palace needs root pruning. Its roots are fleshy. If it is watered too much, root rot is likely to occur. It needs to be removed from the pot and the rotten roots need to be pruned. The roots should be disinfected and sterilized by irrigating with copper preparations.

Do I need to trim the roots of a newly purchased plant? When repotting a newly purchased Liuli Palace, you can properly trim the roots, trim away all the rotten parts, retain the healthy roots, and also trim the weak side branches.

Liuli Temple root pruning and potting

The Glass Palace needs to be repotted every two years. After digging out the Glass Palace, the rotten roots can be trimmed and then soaked in carbendazim disinfectant for half an hour, retaining some of the original soil. After potting, it can be placed in a cool environment for cultivation and it will resume growth in a short time.

Root washing treatment: If the Glass Palace is watered too much, the plant is prone to root rot. At this time, the rotten roots need to be pruned and then disinfected with copper preparations.

How long does it take to pot it up: If the Liuli Palace has not had its taproot trimmed and only the capillary roots have been cleaned, it only takes 1 day to pot it up. If the taproot has been trimmed, it usually takes about 3 days. The larger the wound on the taproot, the longer it takes to dry the roots. You must wait until the wound heals before potting it up.

Maintenance of Liulidian after root pruning and repotting

Watering: If the Glass Palace is repotted with soil in spring or autumn, it can be watered in about 5-7 days when the temperature is suitable, and it should be watered directly with abundant water. After watering, the succulent can be moved to an environment with sufficient light for normal maintenance.

Sunbathing: After repotting, the Liuli Palace plant is still relatively fragile and cannot receive sunlight immediately. It takes 3-5 days for it to adapt to the pot before it can be exposed to the sun.
