Lotus root growth environment and conditions

Lotus root is generally more common in areas with deeper soil, such as in ponds and rice fields. It is a light-loving plant, so it needs plenty of sunlight when caring for it. When planting, slightly acidic clay soil is needed. It is native to India and is now grown all over my country.

Lotus root growing conditions

Lotus root is more suitable for maintenance in places with sufficient sunlight, and the soil used should be relatively deep. It is recommended to use slightly acidic clay soil, and it needs to be watered and moisturized in time.

Lotus root growth temperature

For lotus root, the most suitable growth temperature is between 20-30 degrees, and the water temperature used must be higher than 21 degrees. If the temperature is relatively low, it will affect the growth of seedlings.

Lotus root growth process

When planting lotus roots, its growth cycle needs to go through six stages, namely the budding period, leaf expansion, flowering period, fruiting period, lotus root growth and dormancy period. The budding period generally begins at the beginning of summer. When the temperature reaches 20 degrees, upright leaves will grow, and then slowly begin to bloom and bear fruit, and then enter lotus root growth and dormancy.
