The growing environment and local conditions of succulents

Succulent growth environment and conditions

Succulents need sufficient light to grow. If the maintenance environment is dark, their growth will be affected, causing the leaves of the plant to fade and turn yellow, and problems with the growth of the plant. It is a highly ornamental plant distributed in both the north and south of China.

Succulent growth conditions

Succulents like an environment with plenty of sunlight. Except for the summer when they need shade, they can get sufficient sunlight in other seasons. They like warmth and cannot tolerate cold and heat. The temperature cannot be lower than 8 degrees in winter.

Meat growth temperature

The most suitable temperature for succulent growth is 15-28℃, so succulents grow fastest in spring or autumn. They do not grow well in high or low temperature environments, so fertile and loose culture soil should be provided.

The growth process of meat

There are four main stages in the growth process of succulent plants. In the germination stage, succulent seeds will begin to grow into relatively green seedlings, and then leaves will begin to grow. After that, the color of the succulents will begin to change. There will be a gradual process, and finally the succulents will enter the maturity stage.

Succulent planting time and method

Succulent plants are mostly planted in spring and autumn. The temperature and humidity at this time are very suitable for plant growth. The best sowing temperature for succulents is 20-25 degrees. If the temperature is too high or too low, it is not conducive to seed germination, and even if it germinates, the seedlings are easy to melt into water.

After planting the succulents, water them according to the material of the flowerpot. Water more if the air permeability is good, and water less if the air permeability is poor. In addition, temperature is also an influencing factor. Water more when the temperature is high and water less when the temperature is low. When choosing media, avoid choosing heat-absorbing materials. Do not choose iridescent stone and medical stone. You can use media such as diatomaceous earth and river sand, which have better thermal insulation properties.
