What are the cultivation methods and precautions of Oxalis?

How to cultivate Oxalis

When growing Oxalis, the temperature needs to be kept between 15-25 degrees. In winter, the temperature cannot be lower than 10 degrees. It needs to be placed in a place with sufficient light at ordinary times, and moved to a semi-shaded environment when it is hot. Soil with good air permeability needs to be used when planting.

Watering method

Oxalis prefers a humid environment, but is afraid of waterlogging, so when it is growing vigorously, it can be watered every 2-3 days. Be sure to pay attention to avoid water accumulation.

Fertilization method

When planting Oxalis, sufficient base fertilizer needs to be applied. During the growing period, fertilizer needs to be applied every 30 days. This will allow the plant to grow stronger. Phosphorus and potassium fertilizers are generally used.

Pruning methods

During the growth and maintenance of Oxalis, attention should be paid to pruning. The yellow leaves should be cut off in time. The remaining flowers should also be cut off after the flowers fade to reduce nutrient consumption. This will accumulate nutrients and promote plant growth.

Precautions for Oxalis cultivation

Because Oxalis grows densely, the ventilation and light transmission at the bottom are often poor, so disease prevention work needs to be done. In the hot season, triadimefon should be sprayed to prevent powdery mildew. In addition, if there are weeds, they need to be removed in time to avoid competing for nutrients, which is not conducive to the development of the plants.
