Cultivation method of colorful palm

Colorful cactus likes semi-shady environment. A warm and humid environment is also one of the requirements for its growth environment. It cannot tolerate direct sunlight. During the cultivation process, special attention should be paid to the placement. It is best to place it in a well-ventilated place that can avoid strong light. Hydroponic colorful cactus cannot tolerate high temperatures, and the temperature in summer cannot be higher than 28 degrees.

Watering method

The water of the anthurium should be changed more frequently in summer than in winter. It is recommended to change the water every 2-3 days. The water should not be filled too full to avoid root rot. It is best to keep about half of the roots of the anthurium exposed to the water surface so that the roots can better absorb oxygen.

Fertilization method

When caring for cactus in potted plants, do not use heavy clay soil. Instead, you can mix leaf mold, peat soil, and perlite into the matrix. You can also add a small amount of organic fertilizer as base fertilizer to meet the growth needs of the plant.

Pruning methods

There will always be some branches of the colorful palm that grow faster than others, which will reduce the ornamental value of the colorful palm. By cutting off the overgrown branches, you can also clean up the dead branches and leaves to avoid diseases and pests that affect its growth.

Things to note when breeding colorful palms

1. Light: Anthuriums need better light in winter and early spring, and should not be shaded. If the light is enhanced in summer, they should be shaded. If they are to be appreciated in a shaded place, they should not be placed directly in the sun, otherwise the plant will become uncomfortable, with symptoms such as wilting, yellowing leaves, or even death.

2. Humidity: Colorful anthuriums require higher humidity for growth. If the air is too dry, the leaves will wilt. You can spray water around the plant to keep it moist, or you can cover it with a transparent plastic bag. However, when the light is good, you must ventilate it slightly, otherwise the temperature in the bag will be too high and affect the growth of the plant.

3. Pests: Pests may appear during the maintenance of colorful palms, and the leaves will show symptoms such as wilting, fading luster, and yellowing. You can spray relevant pesticides in time for prevention and control, such as trichloronate, nisoran, and dacarbamate.
