How to grow asparagus fern

1. Temperature

The maintenance of asparagus fern requires a reasonable temperature. Generally, the temperature should be above 10 degrees and below 30 degrees. It will grow more ideally if it has this temperature space.

2. Lighting

Asparagus fern does not need too strong light to grow. If the light is too strong, it will cause the needles to fall off or turn yellow. It requires relatively ideal scattered light and good ventilation conditions. If it is always in a hidden space, the leaves may turn yellow or even fall off.

3. Water

The growth of asparagus fern requires that the soil in the pot be kept slightly moist, neither dry nor with long-term water accumulation. Because its roots are fleshy and very sensitive to water, accumulation of water can easily cause root rot.

4. Fertilizer

Asparagus fern has very high requirements for fertilizer during its growth period. If you want it to grow stronger, give it sufficient fertilizer. Normally, fertilizer and water should be applied once a week during the growing period. Remember to apply fertilizer every week.

5. Replace the seedlings

Asparagus fern is a vine plant. Three years after sowing, it will start to climb and grow very tall, so the maintenance method should be chosen according to its growth conditions.
